I have been planning a trip to Australia for what seems like years now. It had gotten delayed when the Covid-19 outbreak happened and I just put it on the back burner but I feel it is finally safe enough to travel. That being said, I would like to make sure that I go when it is the best time, weather wise and cost wise. I want to be able to enjoy myself whilst I am there.
When is the best time (or month) to visit Australia in terms of the weather being good and the cost not being too high?
Australia is beautiful! I have been there 3 times already and am planning my 4th trip right now.
In my experience, the best time of the month to go depends on what you want to experience. Do you plan on going to the beaches and experiencing a more aquatic-themed stay?

I think given that I could use some more sun and fresh air, a trip involving beaches would do me some good!
What time and area would you recommend for that?
That sounds exciting after such a long wait! Generally, the best balance of good weather and reasonable prices in Australia is during the shoulder seasons — around March–May (autumn) and September–November (spring). You’ll avoid the peak summer heat (and crowds) while still getting warm, pleasant weather for sightseeing, beaches, and outdoor activities. Flights and accommodation are usually a bit cheaper too compared to December–January when it’s peak holiday season.
I do agree with you, December is a peak season of asutralia because this is a month of festivals and people love to travel around this place. They always have fun ahead, but this is an expensive place as well. So try to be there when you have enough budget and time.
