I have always wanted to be a part of an adventure trip, one heavily involving the outdoors and nature. I may get my chance to go for the first time on a trip like this through work. I am just not sure if I would enjoy it or what to expect from it. I don't know the location yet but it is being planned. Do you have any tips for beginners when it comes to adventure travel?
The only tip I can give is to start somewhere simple that offers you mini adventures. An example of this would be the Grand Canyon. It is an amazing sight to see but the area also offers many other adventurous things to do.

From hiking in the Atlas Mountains to riding camels in the Sahara Desert, or even exploring wild valleys and ancient kasbahs, it has a little of everything for beginners. I’ve seen many first-time adventure travelers fall in love with the balance of excitement and beauty, and they often end up planning to come back again.
