I have heard this before. That traveling to Bangladesh is like going to India but rawer and in your face in terms of pollution and poverty. Some have said that most people cannot enjoy going to this country because they feel bad looking around them and they don't want to judge the locals. I have been to India but I have never been here.

I have heard the same thing. I have been to India, but never Bangladesh so I can't really speak on this. I will say though, I know someone who has been and they have commented about it being hard to go through certain areas. They just felt bad for people living the way they did. It is a culture shock for sure.

This seems to be a common trend. I guess you have to know what to expect or this will happen. Culture shock is the appropriate term here. I can't imagine everyone feels this way but those who do not expect it, likely do.
