I have heard this from several people I work with as well as read on Reddit that Moroccan people do not like to be filmed or be in pictures and when you go around pointing your phone, it makes them very uneasy and unhappy. Even if you are not intentionally trying to get videos or pictures of them. Is this true and something to worry about when visiting?

I have never heard such a thing. In my experience, they love taking pictures with people from around the world and will ask to do so. Maybe this depends on the location. Obviously, you don't want to go out of your way to film people but you shouldn't have to worry about having a camera out.

I wonder why people say this then. Strange. I didn't think they would outright ask but I guess they enjoy seeing different people from different walks of life because many of them can't afford to travel?
